“江南无所有，聊赠一枝春。”千年之前的诗意咏叹，在今天焕发出新的生机。南京钟山风景区以“遥赠金陵第一枝，梅传春信满乾坤”为主题，开启“拓春”活动，用非遗技艺拓印梅花图，将春天的讯息封存于纸墨之间。

“There is nothing to offer in Jiangnan, so I am giving you a spring twig as a present.” This millennium-old verse has now found a new applicable scenario. The Zhongshan Scenic Area in Nanjing has launched the “Rubbing of Spring” event under the theme “Sending a New Plum Shoot from Nanjing, Spreading the Message of Spring across the World”. The event features the use of intangible cultural heritage techniques to create rubbings of plum blossoms, capturing the essence of spring in ink and paper.

梅花，是南京非遗赏梅习俗的重要载体。而拓印技艺，更是承载着千年历史的非遗瑰宝。当两者相遇，一场沉浸式的非遗文化体验就此展开。

Plum blossoms are at the center of Nanjing’s tradition of plum flower appreciation, which is an intangible cultural heritage item of the city. The art of rubbing, a centuries-old intangible cultural heritage treasure, further enriches this experience. When these two elements converge, an immersive cultural journey unfolds.

南京梅花山作为国内唯一位于世界文化遗产内的赏梅胜地，融自然山水景观与历史文化内涵为一体，这里植梅35000余株，共有约380余种梅花，其中国际登录梅品种达155个。南京的梅花季，不仅吸引了国内游客，更让国际友人沉醉其中。

Located within a world cultural heritage site, the Plum Blossom Hill in Nanjing is the only plum blossom viewing destination in China that enjoys such a unique location, integrating natural landscape with historical and cultural elements. The hill has more than 35,000 plum trees of about 380 varieties, including 155 internationally registered ones. The city’s plum blossom season not only attracts domestic tourists but also captivates international visitors.

“拓春”活动自开启以来，反响热烈。线上网友积极互动，线下游客络绎不绝。游客们亲手拓印梅花，不仅将这份春日的美好永久珍藏，更在非遗传承人的悉心指导下，领略了传统技艺的博大精深。随着活动的持续推进，一场融合自然美景、文化底蕴与国际交流的盛宴正在梅花山精彩上演。

Since its launch, the “Rubbing of Spring” event has garnered enthusiastic responses. It has drawn enthusiastic online interactions from netizens, and visitors have also flocked to the site in person. Participants have the opportunity to create their own plum blossom rubbings, preserving the beauty of spring in a tangible form. Under the guidance of inheritors of this intangible cultural heritage, visitors gain a deeper appreciation for the profound artistry of traditional techniques. As the event continues, the Plum Blossom Hill becomes a stage for a grand fusion of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and international exchange.

在红楼艺文苑内，来自世界各地的青年们一同挥毫泼墨，将春天的色彩与文化的气息融为一体。留学生们身着中国传统服饰，参与到“拓春”活动中。他们以拓印为笔，将梅枝的纹理与春色定格于宣纸，感受着中国传统文化中对春天的独特理解和热爱，再现“聊赠一枝春”的古典诗意。

At the Art World of the Red Mansion, young people from around the world gather to experience rubbing, capturing the colors of spring with artistic expression. International students, dressed in traditional Chinese clothing, participate in the “Rubbing of Spring” activities. Using rubbing techniques, they capture the textures of plum twigs and the hues of spring on rice paper, immersing themselves in the unique Chinese cultural understanding and love for spring. This reenacts the classical poetic sentiment of “giving you a spring twig as a present”.

I really want to thank the organisers of the event for such a wonderful activity ! you gave me bright emotions and unforgettable experience, it is a great luck to get closer to Chinese culture! wearing Hanfu made me feel feminine and majestic at the same time, it was truly magical.

 Experiencing Chinese Culture was truly great. It was like a dreamy stepping out of history when I wore a Hanfu. Learning from the background of Zhongshan Mountain traditional Chinese stamp was calming and inspirational, especially with such a beautiful plum blossom tree next to it-the delicate pink color of its petals against the mountain backdrop created a picture-perfect scene, making it magical in that much-more. Such a journey would have added to my love of Chinese culture and it would always be the memory from which I will draw beauty-well worthy of keeping.

It was such an amazing experience with great natural scenery and exquisite exposure to Chinese culture . I loved the traditional attire and the smell of the plum flowers. Overall great experience .

Trying on a traditional Chinese costume for the first time was so great, felt like royalty in the Chinese traditional costume and walking through the garden, feeling the spring breeze, was pure magic .
